Equipment

  • Kitchen shears

Ingredients

  • 2 cups bacon cooked and chopped
  • 1 ½ cups mayo
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 3-4 Roma tomatoes, chopped and seeded
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 1 cup green onions chopped
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce shredded and chopped
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400F.  Lay 8 strips of bacon on a shallow cooking sheet.  Cook for 14 - 16 minutes or until crispy.  I prefer this method of cooking the bacon (vs stovetop) because it frees you up to mix the other ingredients.  If you want to save on the baking time, you can use pre-cooked bacon.
  • After the bacon is done, drain off the extra bacon grease and use a paper towel to absorb grease from the bacon.  I use kitchen shears to cut up the bacon into small bits or you can use a cutting board and chopping knife.
  • Place the mayo, sour cream, and cream cheese into a medium-size bowl and mix thoroughly.
  • Add the shredded cheddar cheese, chopped bacon, lettuce, green onion, and tomato to the mayo, sour cream, cream cheese mixture (save some bacon, lettuce, green onion, and tomato for garnish).  Similar to the bacon, I use kitchen shears to cut up the lettuce and green onions.
  • Add a dash of salt and pepper to taste and mix thoroughly.
  • After mixing all the ingredients, transfer the dip to your favorite dip container.  Sprinkle the extra bacon, green onion, lettuce, and tomato on top to make a really nice looking dip.  Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors come together. Serve with your favorite chips, crackers, or veggies.
  • Let me know what you think! Comment on the recipe and take a pic of your awesome looking BLT Dip and share with me on IG or Pinterest. I'd love to hear from you!

Notes

If you are in a hurry, you can get the pre-cooked bacon and use that instead of cooking the bacon  yourself.  Be sure to keep refrigerated.
