Brush botton of slow cooker with bacon grease.  Add cooked, chopped bacon.

Layer on top of bacon:  onion, garlic, salt, sugar, collard greens, apple cider vinegar, and chicken broth.

Cover and cook on high for 4 hours.  Tender and full of flavor!

Serve with hot pepper sauce.  Goes great with my Pimento Mac and Cheese!!
