This easy shrimp stew is packed with shrimp, trinity, and lots of Cajun flavor! Instructions for a homemade roux or an instant roux are provided.

INGREDIENTS

– Flour and Oil (homemade roux) – Or ready-mix roux – Chicken broth (or water) – Peeled and deveined raw shrimp – Onion, bell pepper, and celery – Green onion – Worcestershire sauce – Salt, pepper, creole seasoning – Garlic

Make the roux.  You can use my homemade roux recipe or use a ready-mix roux.  This is a picture of the ready-mix roux.

Next, add shrimp, onion, bell pepper, Cajun seasonings, and garlic.  This is a picture made with my homemade roux.

Serve on top of cooked rice. Serve with buttery French bread! You can also serve it with potato salad or a green salad.
